雷峰塔为吴越国王钱俶因黄妃得子建，初名“皇妃塔”因地建于雷峰，后人改称“雷峰塔”。旧雷峰塔已于1924年倒塌，后重建，新建的雷峰塔为中国首座彩色铜雕宝塔。
